Hi, Aideen here, Volunteer English teacher at Giu Lae Luang ♀️. My time with the school is almost finished now, the six weeks have gone so fast! I’ve had such a lovely, rewarding experience… teaching the kids was great fun and I’ve learned so much about Thai life. From school competitions to traditional crafts, dancing and costume, not forgetting the wonderful food , I have come to appreciate the many colourful facets of Thai culture. We also set up a penpal exchange with a school in Ireland which I hope the students enjoy. Oh and plenty of time for sightseeing too!! 🤗
We would like to introduce Volunteer Aideen, who has just recently arrived and will be joining us for the rest of the semester. Thank You for taking the time to make a difference.
Hi all, due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts with the volunteers who were planning to join us, we have been left short-handed for the first semester of the year. If everyone could please share this post, hopefully, we can find replacement volunteers. We are flexible on the starting date but would like to get the process started soon. Thank you all for your time and support.
We have reached the end of another successful school year thanks in part to Volunteer David who had another great semester working with the Araya foundation and our partner schools. David, everyone here will miss you and we hope we get the opportunity to work with you again.
The Araya Foundation has joined with Chiang Mai Immigration to donate sporting goods and supplies to Baan Pa Khao Laam School in Mae Taeng a rural community outside Chiang Mai that Chiang Mai Immigration has been working with to improve the lives of the students and those in need in the community.
