Baan Maelong School is about 2 hours 
(87 km) from Chiang Mai and has around 104 students from Kindergarten to Primary 6. There are 8 Teachers covering K-6. The school has students from the village and those from the mountain area.
The new headmaster transferred here on the 4th of Dec 2012 and is the same person who helped Araya Foundation’s volunteers in Borluang. He has taken initiatives to turn the school around with limited funding and resources. Volunteer housing is provided.
