Giu Lae Luang School

Giu Lae Luang School is approximately 30
minutes (22km) from Chiang Mai City and has around 53 students with 38 living full time at the dorm. The students come from the village nearby as well as the mountain areas of the North. There are 7 teachers covering Kindergarten through Primary 6.
In the past, there were only poorly maintained buildings for the children to live in. In 2012, Araya Foundation started renovation on an old school building and converted it into a dormitory for the children and Volunteer English Teachers. This has allowed the school to take in more children and provide them better living conditions. The school has brought on 2 full time live-in teachers to supervise the children who live at the dorm.
